Variations in wood coloring and wonderous spalting characterize this unique, classically shaped work.  Variations in shrinkage of the wood fibers when they dried left the bowl slightly oval with a symmetrically bowed rim.  The maple was sourced in Germantown, TN, and the bowl was finished with Tung Oil Finish to give it a soft luster.
