This nicely contoured bowl was crafted from an elm tree that was felled to make room for a home extension in Rison, AR.  It has some intriguing spalting on one side.  Other natural features include a hole from wood decay before the tree was felled and paths of wood boring insects that have been stabilized with CA glue.  The bowl is finished in Tung Oil Finish and polished with carnauba wax.
