This small shallow ash bowl really shows off the natural blonde color of the wood and the prominent grain.  The rim has a bit of characteristic wave that developed as the finished bowl completed its drying process, but it sits flat on the table.  The wood was sourced in the artist's back yard after storms damaged a green ash tree.  It is finised in Tung Oil Finish and polished with carnauba wax.
