This asian-inspired design was hand turned from Bradford Pear sourced in Germantown, TN.  The walls are uniformly thin but the bowl is a bit thicker at the bottom which allows it to sit solidly on the table on the very narrow base.  It has the rich deep orange color of some Bradford pear specimens.  Natural drying effects have given it a slight cup to the rim.  The bowl is finished simply in food-safe mineral oil and beeswax.
