The reddish grain of the cypress heartwood adorns the sides of this large size bowl.  Cypress wood is softer and lighter weight than most hardwood species.  The cypress was sourced in Germantown, TN. This bowl dried somewhat oval with a bit of wave in the rim, but the bottom sits flat.  The bowl is finished with Danish Oil and polished with carnauba wax.  Imagine this beautiful bowl holding a collection of fruit or rolls on your breakfast table!
