The shape of this bowl gives it a delicate appearance as it rests on a small, narrow foot.  The double-curved wall is of an even thickness until it tapers to a point at the rim.  The rim is even and flat - not wavy or distorted by drying.  Green ash wood is lightweight and smooth with a beautiful, blond natural tone.   The ash for this bowl was sourced in the artist's back yard in Collierville, TN and grew from a seedling his son received on Arbor Day in school.  The bowl is finished with Danish Oil and buffed with carnauba wax.  The bowl would look great on a dining table with a couple of apples and oranges.
