This small ash bowl really shows off the natural blonde tone of the wood and the prominent grain that is perfectly centered in the bottom of the bowl.  The small foot sets off the classical curve of the sides.  The wood was sourced in the artist's back yard in West Tennessee after storms damaged a green ash tree.  It is finised in Tung Oil Finish and polished with carnauba wax.
